Howdy Ags,
It’s hard to believe but the year is half OVER! Where does the time go? We are planning activities for the remainder of the year so be sure to check out the ‘UPCOMING’ schedule listed below. We continue to offer our weekly club events and look forward to seeing you at one in the near future. We do our best to keep you up to date of all the AGGIE activities in the area in the hopes that you find something that peek your interest.
I was on campus recently and there was plenty of activity with new student conferences and of course no shortage of construction around town. I had the opportunity to meet with a recent graduate and he asked ‘what was College Station like when I was in school?’ Hard to believe it has been 30 years as well celebrate my class reunion this fall. Certainly not the same place and I am continually amazed at how it continues to grow.

Are you a ‘RECENT GRADUATE’ of Texas A&M? (within the last 5-7 years) If so the Association of Former Students is looking for ways to help you connect with your local A&M Club. That transition from school to the ‘REAL WORLD’ can be a little challenging, perhaps you are not sure where to begin. The Young Alumni Advisory Council would love to help you connect with 7,000+ Young Alumni who follow the Texas A&M Young Alumni Facebook page. If you are looking for ways to get plugged in this is a great way, in addition to the WCAMC. They also host a special weekend in the fall on campus. This year it will be Oct 27-28 during the Mississippi State weekend.

If baseball is more your pace, then never fear, for we have solution to that as well. We will once again be teaming up with the CCAMC for a fantastic Friday night gathering at the ballpark. Join us for ‘AGGIE NIGHT @ the DELL DIAMOND’ as their will be a maroon invasion. Great opportunity for the entire family with food, air conditioning and fireworks. All of the details are already posted on our club website.
Looking for a break from the heat? There are two upcoming events that you might want to check out. First is the ‘Family Friendly’ San Antonio Guada Whoop trip. This a one day event filled with floating the Guadalupe River followed by the ‘After Party’ Details can be found here: aggiepark.com/article.html?aid=1236

Not to be outdone the Houston Howdy Club has an entire weekend planned, however, this event is 21+ only and not intended for the family. If you are interested in details they can be found here:howdyclub.com/toob-trip.html

Fall will be here before you know it and the Williamson County Aggie Mom’s will be hosting their first annual Scholarship Golf Tournament. While the tournament is slated for Friday Sept 29th, it is never too early to start putting your team together and have a reason to get out and practice for this event. Take the opportunity to support the Moms who do so much for the students in school. More information on the event can be found here:
