Howdy Ags,

We have had a few cool mornings which leads us to believe that fall weather is around the corner, we can hope right?!? It is officially fall according to the calendar but ‘mother nature’ is slow to deliver here in central Texas.

Aggie athletics is in full swing as both the men’s and ladies golf team are hitting the links, soccer is into conference play as is volleyball. The equestrian team has also begun competing, are they matches, or events? Both basketball teams kick off practice this week as well, so whatever your sport preference you can certainly get your fill with Aggies participating.

I am sure many of you had your fill of excitement on Saturday as the football team provided us with a little ‘free football’ as they once again went into overtime against Arkansas in Dallas. While there is a lot of similarities between the team this year compared to last, lets be positive that things will continue on the right track as the team returns to Kyle Field on Saturday. It will be an evening game and details regarding the watch party are listed below. It will be exciting to see a full Kyle for a night SEC game.

As we enter the fall we will begin looking at officer positions for the coming year. New officers will be put into place at the beginning of 2016. If you have any interest in getting more involve with the club now is a good time to begin thinking about that. Feel free to speak with any current officers or board members and we will be glad to answer any questions.

AUSTIN SEC CLUB HAPPY HOUR/SOCIAL

Join us for a little mid-season ribbing as we gather with the Austin SEC Club for the fall Happy Hour. Drink specials available and we have also partnered with a few new vendors that will be on hand. HULLABALOO HUDDLE

Certainly want to thank George’s on the Town for inviting our group out to enjoy Aggie football games. The atmosphere on the patio Saturday was fantastic as we had a group of new faces as well as many familiar and frequent friends. If you joined us there for the first game it may have been a little less than you expected so give it another shot and I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.

Please join us again on Saturday for the kick-off against Mississippi State. It will once again be a night game and perfect weather to enjoy on the patio or in at the bar, kick-off is scheduled for 6:30PM. This continues to be a good draw, our objective is to provide an opportunity for Aggies to gather together to celebrate and Yell for the boys in MAROON.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY AGGIE MOMS

Next month we are going to have the dean at the Texas A&M Health Science Center as our guest speaker. We welcome all Aggies including prospective students to join us. Make your first visit to the facility and learn more! Here is the info on that meeting:

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

TICKET CONNECTION

We have been informed that one of our members has tickets to two of the away games if anyone is interested in an ‘Ol’ Army Road Trip’. There are four (4) tickets to the Vanderbilt game in Nashville on Nov. 21, and four (4) tickets to the LSU game in Baton Rouge on November 28. WEEKLY EVENTS

This week we will kick off a new month with our Reveille Networking breakfast in Thursday 1 October. Join us at Rudy’s 7-8AM on your way to work for a quick taco and a little Aggie football discussion.

Next week (8 October) we will be at Double Dave’s for one of our favorite events, FAMILY NIGHT. Always a good crowd and a chance to catch up with everyone. A good excuse not to fix dinner and feed the gang on the way to or from all of the kid’s activities. This event continues to grow in popularity and last month was one of our largest events on record

The following week (15 October) our Networking Lunch will be at Verdes (https://www.verdesmexicanrr.com/). This is a great restaurant, close to the interstate for easy access. Hope to see you for lunch and be sure to bring your resume if you are in the job market.

With all the fall activities and particularly watch parties, we have decided to suspend the Howdy Hours. Take advantage of the SEC event this month for a chance to get out and mingle with some new folks

On a final note, while we encourage everyone to pay their club dues and support our scholarship efforts, you are always welcome to join us at any of our events an expand your Aggie Network.
