Weekly Newsletter

Howdy Ags,

We continue to make an effort to keep everyone up to date. We had the opportunity to gather for Family Night and bravely met at two locations simultaneously. Part of the club attended Double Dave’s Round Rock and a small group gave Double Dave’s Cedar Park a try. Our goal is to possibly gather some Aggies from the NW side of the county and make it easier for others to attend some of our events.

We will soon begin the process for our annual Fish Fry fundraiser so please keep an eye on the calendar and we look forward to having you join us to kick things into full gear.

As the new year kicks off we are happy to welcome new club members. Club dues go to support our scholarship efforts for deserving students. As a dues paying member it also allows you to advertise your business in our weekly newsletter and/or our website. With over 6,500 Aggies in the area it is a great way to spread your name in the county. One of our newest members is Terry Wilson ’88 who is also a newsletter sponsor.

Joe Neal will be selecting luncheon locations and following up with a recap of all those who attended that day. Please continue to pass along your suggestions for new/favorite locations

WEEKLY EVENTS

We work hard to offer a variety of events in hopes that your schedule will allow you to join as often as possible. We realize everyone is busy but it is always good to take a little time for friends and expand your network. We will continue our ‘THURSDAY’ event schedule, but keep your eyes open for a few twist as we move through the year.

This week we will have our Networking Luncheon on Thursday 18 Feb at BJ’s Brewhouse – Round Rock, located in front of the outlet mall on IH-35. https://www.facebook.com/events/1057881270929802/  Our new Committee Chair; Joe Neal Kerr ’98, is making plans for future venues. This location usually gives our ‘medical’ Aggies a reason to join us for lunch. We are still finalizing our Howdy Hour event but look to try one of the many new micro-brew pubs in the area. If you know of any locally owned Aggie establishments, please be sure to pass them along as we look to support local, particularly Aggie business’.
